Sengoku Basara 3: Utage - Tenkai Story Mode

Описание к видео Sengoku Basara 3: Utage - Tenkai Story Mode

I'm hesitant to call this "Tenkai's" story mode because it's most certainly "Mitsuhide's". But the game lists him as Tenkai, so, eh. Like Kojuro's story, this one takes place before the events of SB3. Not long after Honnoji, from what I can tell. Mitsuhide has just killed Nobunaga and is...uncomfortably...ecstatic about that.

First stage, he runs into Oichi, and plays a slightly alternate version of Nightmare at Kanegasaki. Normally in this stage you fight Tenkai at the end, but, well, we're playing as him, so that gets cut out for this battle. Otherwise it's the same as usual for this stage.

Second stage, is a unique one where Hideyoshi sends Mitsunari and Ieyasu to take care of Mitsuhide. The enemy troops actually have Hideyoshi's colors for this stage, which is an especially nice touch. There are a bunch of Death Carriages that try to run you down in this stage, and you can actually destroy them, but it's a pain to do and after destroying one it just came right back, so I didn't bother with any others. This stage is also interesting just to see Mitsunari and Ieyasu actually working together, teaming up to fight Mitsuhide at the end.

Third stage is the Matsunaga stage once more. It's the same as with Kojuro. Mitsuhide lost Nobunaga's helmet in the last battle and now he's gone off the deep end...er, more than he already had. By the time he reaches Matsunaga, he outright requests that he kills him, but Matsunaga refuses and instead decides to take his name as punishment.

Mitsuhide actually has more cutscenes after the credits. Not that you can tell, really, since I cut out the credits. (It's a vocal track, didn't want to risk youtube burning my house down.) But after that, we see a flashback where Mitsuhide and Nobunaga are talking about the "sea of heaven" or some vague shit like that, don't ask me for a better description. All you need to take from this is that this scene is what gave Mitsuhide the idea to use "Tenkai" as his name now that Mitsuhide Akechi is no longer his name. "Tenkai" uses the kanji for "heaven" and "sea". Yes, it's very clever, isn't it. Then we see him meet Hideaki, which is pretty much him just literally stumbling upon him in the rain.
