If you are asking for adrenaline this hike might be suitable for you!
Sassariente, with its 1767 meters provides an amazing open view over Lago Maggiore and several mountains. There are a few options available if you want to reach the top. I picked the one starting at Monti della Gana and decided to go back the same way without doing the round tour touching Monti Motti before heading back to the starting point.
Please remember that the parking lot has to be paid or you will get a fine.
The trail is breathtaking and the summit is always there in good sight from the very beginning.
The last part, that takes you to the top, might be challenging: classified as T3 and with chains to help you cross the catwalks hanging over the void. I must admit I had panic attack and had to go back after a couple of turns.
I was thinking about leaving with great disappointment but then a couple showed up and I asked them to walk with me. That gave me a boost and in no time I was there, staring at the horizon!
It's not a shame asking for help when you need it.
Sometimes you need a little push to grow a little more.
Total positive ascent: 509 meters.
