"When I See You Again imagines the time when we can all gather in the theatre again,” said lyricist Eric Price. “A time when we can make music, tell stories, and be in one big room together. Our hope is that hearing the song now will help bridge the gap to that moment. Even more than that, the song is about the anticipation of when we’ll be able to return to the world as we used to know it and how, when we do, that world will inevitably feel different."

"As the 1-year anniversary of the Broadway shutdown approached, we wanted to make a visual representation of the song. We knew we were already going to be in the beautiful Power Station recording studio creating a cast album for our musical The Violet Hour. So, we made arrangements to safely bring in a camera crew to film Laura performing the song. In the video, she’s alone in a deserted studio, sending the song’s message into the world through a microphone. It seems a fitting acknowledgement to the milestone of a year without live performances. We think it represents both a willingness to wait and a hope that the wait won’t be much longer."
