Tara Graham, Finding the Right Bit For Your Horse

Tara Graham, "The Equine Bit Fitter", gained her knowledge by studying cranio sacral therapy and equine natural movement, to become a certified bit and bridle fitter. Learning about the cranial nerves of the horse taught Tara to connect the bit and bridle and how they influence the whole horse. EquineVIP met Tara at a clinic where she taught an eager group about anatomy, bit and bridle fitting and the horse's unique anatomy. With thousands of bits available, finding the right one for your horse keeps Tara busy as she travels around the country teaching clinics and doing individual fittings. At each fitting Tara does a thorough assessment of the sensitivity of the TMJ, poll, and hyoid grove and jaw, as each horse's mouth is different. Finding the right bit will enhance your control and your horse's performance.
