There are 20 million Filipinos who have not completed basic education.

This is why there are programs such as the Alay Kapwa Community Schooling that give our out-of-school youth a second chance at completing their education, no matter their age and financial capability. Because of the program, they find a new sense of initiative, they realize the importance of education, and feel empowered to help—not just themselves, but their fellow as well.

In this episode of Kapamilya Journeys of Hope, Fr. Tito Caluag talks to Vladimir Domopoy from the Alay Kapwa Community Schooling program in the Diocese of Novaliches and Kristine Aquino from the Public Employment Service Office to highlight how the program changed the lives of many students.

“Nabi-build up ’yung courage nila. Nagkakaroon sila ng direksyon sa buhay nila at mas malalaking mga pangarap.”
