In our training guide for Zoho Projects we will tell you how to manage projects, more precisely how to clean up projects (delete or archive), and show you how to restore an archived project with all the tasks .

[00:00]We are faced with different projects during our working routine. Sometimes projects are closed, canceled, or completed and they are now considered out of use. Because of this, we need to clean our active board and not spam it.
There are two options to clean up the projects. It’s to trash the project and archive the project.

[00:59]To archive the project, click on the settings button and move the project to archives, approve this action, and then the project will be moved to the archived project view. The project status will be automatically changed to completed. All related tasks, milestones, issues, or timesheets to the archived project will also be archived and they won't be visible in the system anymore.
[01:36] If you want to move the archived project and all its related entities to the active status again, then you can click on the settings button and move the project to active approve the section. And after that, the project will reappear in the old projects view again.

[01:58]If you want to delete the project from the system, then you can click on the settings button and click the trash project button, approve this action, and after that, the project will be removed from the project view. All associated tasks, issues, milestones, and timesheets will be also removed.
All projects which are added to the trash projects view will be automatically removed from the system within 30 days. But if you want to delete the project and don't want to wait for 30 days, you can click on the bin icon and delete the project.
If you want to restore it, click on the Restore icon. After that, the project will be removed from the All Projects view again.
