I just built a Human-Computer Interface (HCI) application that uses a pre-trained deep learning face detection model and a controller interface (OpenCV/YOLO/PyAutoGUI) to enable physical keyboard control without the need for manual key presses. In this video, I am demonstrating how the controller interface app works in a video game!

Some of my app's features:
Proximity feathering of key presses to prevent oversteering the vehicle
Full 8-directional movement support
A built-in fail-safe that allows you to exit the application by moving the mouse to the desktop corner
An alternative option to control the application with a physical keyboard, if preferred

Beyond gaming and virtual navigation, this technology has promising applications for enhancing computer accessibility for individuals with physical challenges. By enabling hands-free keyboard control through facial movements, it can offer a more inclusive way to interact with digital environments, helping users perform basic operations, control assistive devices, or navigate software interfaces more easily and independently.
