2017 B-Team Championship Game Highlights: Eastside Raiders vs. West Seven Rams (11-5-2017)

After a long season, we now arrive at the final day of the 2017 Detroit PAL Football season! There were many solid contenders on the B-Team Level this season. But in the end, two teams were left standing: the Eastside Raiders & the West Seven Rams. The Rams were loaded this year, getting a lot of firepower from their Championship 2015 & 2016 C-Teams, plus a major addition of Myles Rowser from the Detroit Spartans/Michigan Bulldogs 2016 B-Teams. They were a heavy favorite once again to make it to the Big Game. The Eastside Raiders, on the other hand, surprised me this year. Last year's Semi-Finalist B-Team saw a lot of talent move up to the A-Team level. I figured they'd take a step back or two this season. Boy, was I wrong! The two teams met earlier in the season (Week 2) and put on a classic! The Rams escaped with a 41-38 victory. After that encounter, many people (including myself) felt that these were the two best B-Teams in the league & had a great chance to meet again at Ford Field. And... here they both are! The last time these two orgs met in the Championship Game on the B-Team Level was on November 9, 2013. The Rams came away with the Championship, winning 26-12. This year's game took place at Ford Field (home of the NFL's Detroit Lions) on November 5, 2017.
