See the unseen - dipper and calm morning sound of flowing water

In my last video I managed to film the White-throated dipper (Scientific name: Cinclus cinclus) bobbing and dipping for food from the last remaining ice along this flowing river during the last days of March.

Now a few weeks later I went back. This time my goal was to cure myself from the winter blues, and with some luck be able to get closer to this active little river bird.

I brought with me my 200-500 mm NIKKOR lens, but the dipper was more than 10 meter away on this little stone in the river so I paired it with a 2x SIGMA extender. Now I got close enough to observe the bird in its habitat.

When I arrived here at 9 o'clock I was met with some acrobatic flying by Mrs. and Mr. Dipper as they were out feeding together.

It felts so good sitting outside the hole morning just looking at this dipper family hunting for food and my winter blues just drifted away. Boy It felt good !
