KALAHARI - The Hidden Gem. A Roland Steffen Documentary

Описание к видео KALAHARI - The Hidden Gem. A Roland Steffen Documentary

This documentary impressively tells the story of our time we spent in the Kalahari in Botswana in August 2023 and also about the famous book "Cry of the Kalahari" about the researcher couple Mark and Delia Owens who were the first people to live in the mysterious and legendary Deception Valley for five years in the 1970s.
The Kalahari has existed as an inland desert since the Cretaceous period (65-135 million years ago). It has experienced both periods of greater humidity and more aridity, documented in fossil dune fields. It was during a period of greater rainfall that the Makgadikgadi Depression in northern Botswana was formed.

"Kalahari - The Hidden Gem" was awarded 5 stars by the US short film platform shortfilmsmatter.com
