Congress had come into power in Karnataka raising BJP 40% commission and bribe over a similar issue but are facing the same allegations now. The contractors of the BBMP have stopped working on all the ongoing projects and maintenance works in Bengaluru for protest and met the Governor alleging the Government and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar for corruption and demanding a 10-15 % commission to pass the payments. DK Shivakumar has dismissed the accusations and said that he is going by the law.
