CHICAGO -- It's down to a Best-of-3 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. After leading the Cavs in Game 4, can Lebron respond with another tremendous game or can Jordan hold the fort at home?

Despite leading by a point after the 1st half, the Bulls appeared very stagnant on offense. Jordan struggled from the field, shooting just 7/17 in the 1st half. It was a close first half until midway in the 2nd quarter when the Cavaliers went on a 16-6 run, c/o hot shooting from Kevin Love and sniping by JR Smith who would drain 3/5 3-pters in the period to help the Cavs take as much as an 11-pt lead. The Bulls got into a rhythm late in the period, ending on a 14-7 run to get back into the game and cut the lead to 4 going into the half.

In the 3rd quarter, Jordan shook off a poor 1st half shooting and had a great period, scoring 16 pts while faciliting the offense. It came at the right time as the Bulls offense was not looking good until then. THe finally had their first taste of the lead at the 3min mark of the 3rd after a 3-pointer from Kerr off an assist from MJ. But the Cavs also had their elite scorer in Kyrie Irving. He countered MJ's strong period with his own 13 pts, helping stem the Bulls tide and helped the Cavs maintain a slim 1-pt lead going into the 4th.

In the 4th quarter, Jordan continued his momentum from the 3rd and scored 7 straight plus an assist for a Kerr 3-pointer to quickly grab the upper hand by 4. Jordan then sat down and Pippen took his turn and scored 6 straight to put the Bulls up by 7 with 7 mins to go. The Bulls would keep the pressure and led by as much as 8 with just 2 mins to go.

But the Cavs were not done. THey would go on a 6-0 run to get to within 2 with 41 secs remaining. Neither team could score in the next possessions and the Cavs had the ball with 17-secs left and the Bulls clinging to a 2-pt lead.

After a timeout, Cavs give the ball to Lebron who had Pippen on him. As James made his move, Pippen made the biggest play of the game by getting into defensive position and draws the charge from Lebron with 5.3 secs to go. This was the final nail to the coffin and stopped the Cavs rally in their tracks as the Bulls hang on to win Game 5.

Jordan again led the way with 41 pts 13 assts while Pippen added 28 and 8 rebs. Kyrie Irving led the Cavs with 22 pts 8 assts while JR had 31. Lebron again was MIA, scoring just 17 pts on 6/16 shooting. He will have to do better if they want to force a Game 7 in this series.
