In todays episode at my little Welsh allotment i venture over to harvest, discuss some damage thats occurred at the plot. All my potatoes in buckets have been stolen and eaten.. and a huge reflection on whats worked and whats not worked in the no dig & dig allotment. In hindsight I should have left that suspicious melon plant in. it was in fact an actual melon plant and not a cucamelon! we learn by our mistakes hey! I also discuss the constant weeds this summer, from having all that rain to the intense heat. They have thrived! I decide to harvest my zebrune shallots that I sowed from seed in January. They are gigantic! The biggest shallots ive ever grown or seen! I also harvested some outdoor blight resistant tomatoes and of course plenty of beans. The Pixie cabbage bed was pruned and cleaned up. A few cabbages left in that bed then it'll have a rest over autumn and winter. It won't be long before all the garden will be composted and we will be back to bare earth. I also discuss a new shade cloth design ive invented that will feature next week (if weather plays fair) Happy growing. Danny 🌱
