Looking at the environment, more pollution, more respiratory problems, more deaths from coronavirus today, tomorrow and at least until we get a vaccine. Now we all know, that like the flu the coronavirus will come back differently each time. You will probably have to get vaccinated ever year like the flu shot…so more and more pollution becomes an even greater problem.



The Guardian is reporting that now Trump is rolling back Obama-era regulations that represent our strongest push to fight climate change. He is weakening the rules that force auto companies to produce more fuel efficient vehicles. Experts say this will lead to more pollution and more spending on gas. In fact the new rule let cars emit 1 billion more tons of CO2. It is equal to one fifth of annual U.S. emission - that’s 20% more dirt coming into the air for us to breathe.


Bringing me to our slay word pleonasm for redundant, too many words, Trump is all about the pleonasm and saying one thing and doing another.

Miles Keogh is executive director of the National Association of Clean Air Agencies. That is a group of state and local air regulators. He says the timing of the rule change is “appalling”.


Twenty-three states and the District of Columbia sued over the changes. Those states represent about half of US residents. The group says weakening the standards will kill about 2,000 more people and cause 50,000 more cases of respiratory illnesses, and make the climate crisis worse….and there’s future eruptions of the coronavirus.


Of course these weakened standards and dirtier air will be worse for communities near oil processing facilities and highways…which already emit tons of crap into the air. And who do you think this affects….usually people of color and poorer Americans.
