Bike Alum Rock from Penitencia Creek Trail (11 miles)

Alum Rock Park is a great place to bike on the east side of San Jose above Berryessa. If you start from Penitencia Creek County Park (see the map link below) there's a nice bike path called Penitencia Creek Trail that gets you most of the way to the Alum Rock Park entrance, and you can ride from there up into the park and back on Alum Rock Road (although it's more of a paved path) with great views of the South Bay.
