Mahershala Ali and Amatus Sami Karim beautiful family ❤❤❤

A multiple-award winner, Mahershala Ali has starred in critically acclaimed films like "Moonlight," "Green Book," and "True Detective." Ali's lovely wife and children have become almost as well-known as his impressive professional achievements.

Ali was given birth to in Oakland, California in 1974 as Mahershalalhashbaz Ali Gilmore. He had a loving, supportive, and close familial environment in which to develop. After finishing university, he set out to pursue a career in acting, and he has since been on such popular TV dramas as "House of Cards" and "Luke Cage."

Ali wed the singer/songwriter/musician Amatus Sami-Karim in 2013. When Ali's mother passed away, they got back in touch after years apart. They've been together ever since, and now they're raising a family of two.

In 2017, they welcomed a girl into the world whom they called Bari Najma Ali. When asked how fatherhood has altered him, Ali said, "It's made me more patient, more selfless, more loving, more attentive, and more present."

They had another son in 2019 and named him Ahmed Ali. During his acceptance speech at the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards, Ali talked about the birth of his baby and dedicated the award to his grandmother, who has been in his ear his whole life reminding him to "try, try again" if at first he doesn't succeed. That's my guiding principle, period. I'm married to the lovely Amatus, and we've recently had a baby daughter named Bari. I was hoping to meet my son, but he hasn't made it here yet. Ali's family has a well-earned reputation for being close and loving. Ali has spoken about the significance of family in his life, and the family is quite active on social media, posting images and encouraging notes to one another. His NPR interviewee quote: "I'm really a family-oriented person, so any success that I have, it's really built around the people that I love and that support me."
