Based in the historic woollen town of Buckfastleigh on the edge of Dartmoor, British Sheepskins is a wholly owned subsidiary of Devonia Products Ltd. Leather and sheepskin tanning is one of man's oldest crafts and we are proud to have over 200 years of history in this ancient art. Our tannery uses many traditional methods and the rugs are finished by hand, by experienced local craftsmen who are dedicated to producing exceptional quality rugs that last beautifully.

While we have great respect for the time-honoured art of tanning and rug-making, we have not been left behind by technology or style. We are delighted to offer the widest possible choice of sizes, colours and designs, ensuring that our rugs enhance the interior of every home, from the classic to the contemporary.

If you are ever near to the Devon town of Buckfastleigh, you could always visit our new Visitor Centre and shop which opened in April 2010. Entry to the visitor centre is free and you will be able to find out how our sheepskin rugs are made. Opening times are 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday from April to September.
