Spring Tide Spectacle in Twickenham (Tidal Flooding Late Summer 2020)

The Twickenham Riverside floods and is transformed for a short period during the late summer Spring Tides - Swans are swimming on the flooded road getting fed by the Ice Cream man. Kayaks and paddle boards (SUP) cruise on the flooding Thames Path, and it is a nice day out on a warm and sunny afternoon in September 2021.

Twickenham Riverside floods frequently during the bigger spring tides, especially during the highest astronomical tides that happen around the equinoxes and solstices in late September, Late December/early January, Late March/ early April and Late June/ early July.

Be prepared for the flooding, check the tide tables, bring your SUPs or Kayaks, bring your cameras, take care where you leave your car, and enjoy the spectacle!
