After two decades, the Commonwealth Games are returning to India.

Ahmedabad has officially been chosen to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games, marking the country’s first CWG since Delhi 2010.

The announcement is being seen as a major boost to India’s long-term dream of hosting the 2036 Olympic Games.

The move strengthens India’s 2036 Olympic ambitions, with Ahmedabad rapidly upgrading its sports infrastructure to position itself as a global sporting hub.

Commonwealth Sport has confirmed that 15 to 17 ports will feature at the 2030 Games, with the final list to be announced soon.
