He also loses a bit of confidence after Emilia stands up to him, and begins to realize that Subaru is winning the bet. This was a great setup episode! Roswaal starts to panic and attempts to siphon mana from Ryuzu Meyer's crystal to supply his weather-changing magic, but Ram stalks him with Clairvoyance and summons Puck to ambush him. Meanwhile, Subaru, Otto, and Garfiel attempt to save the mansion. Garfiel reunites with Frederica, and then prepares for his fight with Elsa. Subaru confronts Beatrice, promising to drag her out of her library.
