Описание к видео Indian Police Arrest Four youth in Pulwama district

• India can’t curb freedom sentiments in IIOJK
• Shutdown in Jammu areas against eviction drive

Srinagar, January 30 (KMS): Senior APHC leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that Modi-led fascist India cannot scratch freedom sentiments from hearts and minds of the Kashmiri people by attaching Hurriyat offices, houses and properties of pro-freedom leaders and activists in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in response to the attaching of APHC office by the Indian occupation regime in Srinagar said that Hurriyat is the manifestation of political, social and cultural will of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, acknowledged as right to self-determination by the United Nations. That is why, he added, the APHC office is sometimes targeted by paid goons and at times it is raided by dreaded agencies like National Investigation Agency. Mirwaiz who continues to remain under house detention in Srinagar also slammed the Indian media for just toeing the Modi government’s line of action on Jammu and Kashmir, and avoiding independent reporting on the Indian atrocities in the territory.

Meanwhile, shutdown was observed in many parts of Jammu, today, in protest against the eviction of Muslims from their lands by the RSS-backed BJP government. The strike was observed in Muslim populated Sunjwan, Bathindi and Malik Market areas. Thousands of Muslim families in the city and its suburbs have been served eviction notices on one pretext or another. Despite heavy rain and snowfall, people came out of their houses and staged protests against the brutal order. Shops and other business establishments remained closed in the areas.

In another blatant human rights violation by the Indian occupation regime in Kashmir, a religious scholar was subjected to enforced disappearance in Kulgam district. The scholar, Mufti Nazir Ahmed Dar, was called by Behibagh Police station on Saturday, after which he could not be contacted by his family members. It is feared that the scholar may meet the same fate as many other Kashmiri youth have met in the Indian custody during the recent past.

Indian police arrested four youth during cordon and search operations and house raids in Awantipora area of Pulwama district.

On the other hand, body of a 29-year-old civilian was found in Sopore town. The deceased has been identified as Shahzad Ahmed Malik. It is worth mentioning here that the incidents of discovery of Kashmiri youth’s bodies under suspicious circumstances have surged in the occupied territory after the abrogation of Kashmir’s special status by the BJP government in August 2019
