Bending a 38 inch stub-up in 4” EMT conduit using the Greenlee 881 CTD hydraulic bender on a Greenlee 881 MBT Mobile Bending Table. The bender is already set-up for bending 4” conduit. The bending dimension information is on the connecting bars of the 881 bender and also in the 881 bending manual that can be found on-line. We needed to know the minimum stub length and also the deduct for the 4” EMT conduit; the deduct was 32 ¼” from the 38” stub-up total height, so, we put our bending mark at 5 ¾” and that mark lines up with the front of the saddle on the shoe of the bender. Make sure the follow-bar is all the way up against the back of the saddle before bending the conduit.
