It’s the final part of our 7 Christmas Markets in 7 Days adventure — and what a ride it’s been!
In Part 3, we explore the magical streets of Strasbourg, France — known as the "Capital of Christmas", enjoy creative fun at Basel’s riverside markets in Switzerland, and end our journey (a little under the weather) in Munich, Germany.
Strasbourg lives up to its title with incredible lights, charming squares, and beautifully decorated stalls. Though it was a bit more crowded and touristy than we hoped, the decor was some of the best we’ve ever seen.
Basel was a surprise hit for families. With a dedicated kids’ crafting village offering activities like candle making, woodworking, and ornament decorating, it’s one of the most family-friendly stops of the trip. The Rhine River backdrop added to the beauty.
Munich, sadly, was a short and sickly stop for us. The start of a stomach bug hit the whole family, but we still managed a quick visit to the main market, grabbed a few bites, and took in the festive atmosphere before calling it a night.
🎉 After 7 cities in 7 days, we’re tired but full of holiday joy. And to wrap it all up — here’s our final Christmas market rankings from this whirlwind trip, where over the last 6 weeks, we've visited 12 Christmas markets!
