SkyGunner - PlayStation 2 - Intro & First Mission Gameplay [4K60]

Описание к видео SkyGunner - PlayStation 2 - Intro & First Mission Gameplay [4K60]

Combat flight simulators games were few and far between on the PlayStation 2, SkyGunner was an early PS2 game that braved a genre few developers really wanted to touch. The end result was a charming game with bold visuals and a wonderful art style, a great soundtrack and a well told story.

It's by far and away the most fun flight sim game on the format. While the controls take a little getting used to and it's best to do the advance setup for full control. Once you get to gripes with them you will soon be gunning down the forces of Ventre.

The characters are very much larger than life and the world setting is very much based on early 20th century France with the look and clothing of the characters. Which makes it all the more strange that Skygunner never got a PAL release. It seems to be one of the many games Sony dropped the ball on so to speak with Atlus USA handling the North American release. SkyGunner is a classic example of an over looked game/hidden gem and one that has dated far better than many other games from the era.

SkyGunner will no doubt appeal to both combat flight sim fans and anyone who wants to play the closest game to Starfox on a Sony system. The sense of humour and fun round off a well put together game and title. PixelArts the develop are only credited on this one game, but many of the staff seem to have moved to the shadow develop Alvion co ltd after Skygunner was released. An unofficial PC sequel was released under the name Gunners Hearts.
