My name is Dr. Dhiren Dave. I'm a urologist at Somerset Medical Center, located in Somerville, New Jersey. For more information about our hospital, you can go to our website, at www.somersetmedicalcenter.com.

I specialize in urological oncology, which is the treatment of cancers of the urinary tract. This includes, cancers of the kidney, of the bladder, prostate, and testicles. These are some of the most common cancers that exist, and I'm expert in treating these various conditions. I also specialize in robotic and minimally invasive surgery, and have helped establish the program at Somerset Medical Center.

This is a form of a treatment of surgical therapy, which I'm very passionate about. I try to provide the most state-of-the-art therapies for my patients, and this incorporates the use of advanced technologies, such as laproscopic and robotic surgery, to be able to perform complex surgeries for patients; however, to do it through small incisions, which offers patients significant advantages to conventional surgical options. By doing it through small incisions, we're able to provide patients with less pain, shorter hospital stays, less risk of blood loss or bleeding, and faster return to their daily activities, with much reduced impact on patients' quality of life.

I'm very passionate about what I do, I enjoy taking care of cancer patients. There's no greater satisfaction than being able to tell somebody that you have cured them of their cancer, and that they're going to have a long and fruitful life.
