1. Buckskin Gulch
-located in Kane County, Utah near the Arizona border.
-all the clips are from this slot canyon! One of the longest continuous slot canyons in the world, this one is breathtaking.
-permits required. $6/person and per dog. Easily obtained online @recreation_gov
-we started via wire pass trailhead, did about 6 miles total, flat terrain for almost the entire hike. One of my favorites to date!

2. Little Wild Horse Canyon
-located in the San Rafael swell, west of Goblin Valley
-non technical with little scrambling required
-no permit needed
-you can do the loop through Bell Canyon 8 mile loop or simply hike as far up as you want and then back out which is what we did! 3-4 miles. So much climbing and exploring🙌🏼

3- Peek-a-boo and Spooky
-located in the Grand Staircase Escalante Monument
-2 stunning slot canyons in one hike
-some scrambling and climbing required in parts
-these get a bit tight in spots-taking off your pack and fitting through narrow passages.
-If you are claustrophobic, stick with the first 2 and skip this one!
-3.5 miles loop, search GPS for trail coordinates before you go!

We have fallen in love with slot canyons and they are one of the BIG reasons we are getting into canyoneering! There is something so humbling and remarkable about being surrounded by these tall stunning canyon walls. Let alone, the most fun hikes we’ve ever done with our kids! If you haven’t tried one yet-plan your next trip to one of these places♥️

🚨With all slot canyons, check weather reports before you go and avoid if there is any rain in sight. Flash flooding is real in these areas and it is not worth the risk during these times.
