Have you ever asked yourself, "Am I wasting my life away?" Sometimes life seems to go so slow, whether it is in childhood or perhaps when you are waiting; waiting for a trial to end or maybe it is waiting for an exciting even to happen. Other times in life it goes so quickly. At the end of the year when you look back you often wonder where your life went. Maybe you look back and wonder where the years went.
As you look ahead, you don't want to waste your life, but you only have so much strength and ability. Ultimately, this leads us to the questions "Can God use you or Can God use me?" Don't waste your life, but how can you fully be used for God's purpose?
One man who learned some Bible truths about this was D.L. Moody. D.L. Moody was born the sixth child of Edwin and Betsy. He was born in Northfield, Massachusetts on February 5, 1837. His formal education was over after he finished fifth grade. He left for Boston when he was 17-years-old. He unsuccessfully tried to find employment and finally was employed by his uncle who owned a shoe store. One of the requirements that his uncle had for Dwight to keep his job, was that he needed to attend the Mt. Vernon Congregational Church.
When Dwight was 18-years-old, his Sunday School teacher, Edward Kimball, visited him at the shoe store. He took time to explain the love of Christ to Dwight. It was a short time later that Dwight trusted Jesus Christ as Savior.
Shortly thereafter, Dwight moved to Chicago and had dreams of making a fortune selling shoes. While being successful, God burdened him to start a Sunday School. After serving for some time, he left his successful business endeavors in 1860, yielding himself to God so that he could live his life for the purpose that God had for him. His Sunday School grew and reached many children for Christ and he was encouraged to start his own church. It was on February 28, 1864 that the church opened in its own building with Moody as the Pastor. Throughout the rest of his life, God used Him greatly.
D.L. Moody learned that God can do more than you could ever ask or think. He watched God's power work in and through his life. The same can be true in your life. Friend, God can use you.

16) That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
