Another wonderful fall day in the SCAMP. Today much learning took place. I anchored with my new nylon anchor from Cooper Anchors, and jumped into the water a number of times to test my re-entry slings. Worked perfectly. I also did some near shore anchoring practice with my new anchor and the Anchor Buddy. Really terrific for that purpose. In the video I demonstrate a parking maneuver for those of you wondering how to stop a SCAMP at sea to do things. A sloop can heave to, but with the single lug it is still important to be able to stop and reef, rest, what have you. The SCAMP has no problem with this.

New equipment today include the Cooper Anchor and Anchor Buddy as discussed, a new life jacket from Baltic (absolutely love it), new port side cushion (I have now sewn the starboard cushion), and new wireless mic for the Insta360 camera. There was plenty of wind, but with the really inexpensive Movo Mini Duo wireless lapel mic, receiver, and furry wind guard it sounds like a still day. Yet the wind was moderate. Nice not to have the wind noise.

All footage filmed with the Insta360 X3 camera, and edited in LumaFusion
