SIGNAL Passed at DANGER..! Line Blocked for 2 Hours at Stafford by 70809 - Plus FAILED 6M09 13/09/24

A right faff at Stafford with Colas loco 70809 overshooting the signal at the end of platform 5 running around 6K88.

The loco ended up blocking the line for 2 hours with northbound headed units , the West Highland Pullman and other locos having to use alternative lines instead - Including a class 350 heading wrong line through platform 4.

It appears the delay was waiting for a replacement driver to take the loco onwards (I stand to be corrected on this however it appeared to be a different driver) and likely completion of a SPAD report.

Also seen was a very late running 6M09 which failed in the early hours of the morning with 66111 sent to rescue 66044 in the south Manchester area.
