I was walking through Aldi the other day, and came across this National Geographic Glow in the Dark Crystal Science Kit. I was like, hello Aldi Special Buy, this could be fun. But does this thing actually grow a crystal that glows in the dark?

Inside was a real crystal, and one that you had to grow yourself. To grow the crystal you take a glass of water and add the crystal growing powder to the glass. Then you leave the glass for one week, and come back to find a fully grown crystal in the glass.

So check one, the crystal grew, but does it glow?

Erm, it wasn’t exactly the mesmerising effect I was expecting, but it does glow a little.
