Agricultural Income Tax | Punjab Imposes Tax on Agri Income

Recently, IMF team visited Pakistan to discuss next loan tranche to Pakistan and imposing new taxes. IMF urged imposing income tax on agricultural income in line with tax rates applicable on non-salaries business income. These taxes will be up to 45℅ of income.
A couple of days ago, Punjab Assembly Passed Agricultural Income Tax Bill 2024. After this new law, huge taxes imposed on Agri Income in Punjab. Similar laws will be introduced in other provinces.
