In this video we explore one of the most important concepts in probability theory: measures and probability measures.

Starting with simple everyday examples like measuring length, area, and volume, we build intuition for the mathematical definition of a measure. From there, we introduce σ-additivity, and show how probability measures arise naturally by normalizing measures on a probability space.
Along the way we connect the theory to familiar examples like coin tossing and rolling dice, and explain why fairness (or bias) is simply about assigning different “weights” to outcomes.
