Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has issued an important notification on its official website regarding checking the admission status for session 2021-22. All the students can check their admission status by mentioning their MDCAT roll number in the given link. If any student has got admission in any public or private sector Medical or Dental College in the program of MBBS or BDS, they cannot apply for admission on PMC portal for the vacant seats in medical and dental colleges. Only those students are eligible to apply on the vacant seats who have qualified MDCAT, scored minimum 60% marks in FSc Pre-Medical and did not get admission in any medical or dental institution in Pakistan. The admission portal for the vacant seats has not yet been activated on the PMC website. It is expected that PMC will soon launch the admission portal for vacant seats on its official website after which the eligible candidates can online apply for admission in MBBS and BDS.
Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) has issued an important official notification regarding the syllabus and Practical Examinations for the board exams 2022. According to the notification, this year the complete syllabus would be followed for board exams and no smart syllabus would be implemented for Matric and Intermediate. The practical examinations will also be held by all the boards of Punjab for Matric and Intermediate students and the practicals will be set only from part 2 syllabus of Matric and Intermediate.
Punjab government has extended the summer vacations for all public and private schools across the province by one month. The current academic year will end on 31 May instead of 31 March. The new academic year will stretch from 01 August 2022 to 31 March 2023. Students will get a two-month summer break, instead of one, from 1 June to 31 July 2022.
