You decide to go out of the refuge to collect your thoughts. Upon exiting you notice that all the scrap and debris from the battle are missing. You're hearing a threatening bass synth whirring lowly in the background as the drums start kicking in and you're face to face with an opponent that could pulverize you in one swing. It's repetative sounds are taunting you. It wants you to attack. The inspiring electric guitar is giving you the courage to fight, you can feel every vein in your body pulsing with your blood, you're hearts racing to the beat of the drums and the clash of the cymbals. You're ready to swing, until you notice something beneath the metal... It's eerily similar to you.

Pulverizer is the tenth song on my album Adfectus, which is the Latin word for emotion.Adfectus is an experimentation with literature and music. You press play on the song and read the short paragraph. Do this for the whole album and it's a short story. The music and story borrow elements from many sub-genres of electronic music like dubstep and glitch while also incorporating dystopian literary themes from science fiction like cyberpunk and steampunk. I started seeing a bit of success from the music in this album as some tracks got added to playlists revolving around "music to program to" and "music for coding", but they totally missed out on the story behind it. So, in terms of practicality and trying something new - it falls short. Interestingly enough, services like Spotify and iTunes don't allow you to submit lyrics for instrumental only music. So the only way you would know about the literary part was either my youtube channel or the website I had up at the time.
