IDAHO FALLS -- Saturday marks the 23rd anniversary since Amber Hoopes disappeared from her grandparents' home in Bonneville County.

The 20-year-old was last seen the night of Sept. 14, 2001 at the home on Lincoln Road next to Classic Auto. A truck from the shop was stolen and was later found discarded at the Ammon and Lincoln Road intersection.

A crowd of 50 people gathered to honor Hoopes at the Bonneville County Courthouse, raising awareness about her disappearance and dozens of other missing people in Idaho.

Audra Burgener, Hoopes’ aunt, and Bonneville County Sheriff's Sgt. Bryan Lovell spoke with EastIdahoNews.com this week about the case and the hopes they have in getting it solved.
