ISAIAH BERLIN ON DEMOCRACY | What advice would he give us in 2020?

I learnt English by reading Isaiah Berlin in the mid 1990s. Many years later my phd focused on Berlin's political philosophy. I have had to deal with a significant and disabled health challenge over many years - for now, my work remains delayed in reaching the world.

I'm delighted to say I am now sharing content on this channel and other platforms about where we find ourselves culturally, politically - and aesthetically too.

Professionally, I am a philosopher working in ethics and musicology. Some current projects include 1. What it means for philosophers to be funny. 2. Isaiah Berlin’s political ideas. 3. Nietzsche’s moral psychology. 4. Laughter in absolute music. I am currently writing a book about Isaiah Berlin.

I coach artists and arts organisations. What these sessions are really about is fast tracking an artist's development of her talent. With the goal of freeing her to develop an individual style.
