The Mind We Swim In

Описание к видео The Mind We Swim In

Just like a fish can't leave the water, we human beings, too, are bound within our circumstances. We swim within the currents of our minds and cultures. In this short exploration, Zentatsu Richard Baker Roshi suggests a shift from identifying with ‚who we are' to asking ourselves ‚what we are'. He emphasizes the importance of cultivating an observing mind. By doing so, he says, we can alter our worldview in subtle but powerful ways and transform our 'mind-mandala'.

This video is an excerpt from a lecture during an event called "Space, Time, Body" (November 2023, Crestone Mountain Zen Center).
