المقادير:

ملعقتان طعام (30 مل) سمنة
ملعقتان طعام (30 مل) زيت زيتون
كوبان ونصف (300 غرام) بصل مفروم
لحمة مفرومة (300 غرام
ملعقة صغيرة ملح
نصف ملعقة صغيرة سبع بهارات
نصف ملعقة صغيرة قرفة
ربع ملعقة صغيرة فلفل اسود
ربع كوب (40 غرام) صنوبر محمص
ربع كوب (30 غرام) جوز مفروم

بطاطا مقشرة ومغسولة ومقطعة (1200 غرام)
ماء لسلق البطاطا (2 ليتر)
زبدة غير مملحة للبطاطا (6 ملاعق طعام اي 85 غرام)
نصف كوب (120 مل) حليب
ملعقة صغيرة ملح
ربع ملعقة صغيرة جوزة الطيب
كوب كعك قرشلة مطحون او بقسماط
ربع كوب زبدة (56 غرام) غير مملحة نضيفها على البقسماط
لدهن الصينية: ملعقة طعام زبدة
لاسفل الصينية: ملعقتان طعام بقسماط


Ingredients:

2 tbsp (30 ml) ghee
2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
2 1/2 cups (300 g) chopped onions
300 g minced top sirloin (or ground beef)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp 7 spices
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup (40 g) toasted or fried pine nuts
1/4 cup (30 g) chopped walnuts

1200 g russet potatoes, peeled, washed, and cut into large cubes
2 liters water
6 tbsp (85 g) unsalted butter (for the mashed potatoes)
1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 cup plain bread crumbs
1/4 cup (56 g) melted unsalted butter (for the bread crumbs)
For the pan: 1 tbsp butter and 2 tbsp bread crumbs

🌹Instructions🌹

1. In a medium pan on high heat, sautee onions with ghee and oil until light golden, about 7 minutes. Add the meat, salt, and spices, then mix to combine. Cook until the meat is fully cooked for about 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and mix in the pine nuts and the walnuts. Set aside.

2. In a medium pot, place potatoes and water. Bring to a boil covered on high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook until fork tender about 12 minutes.

3. Remove from heat and transfer to a strainer for 1 minute to get rid of the access water.

4. Transfer the potatoes to a large bowl, and mash using a potato masher. Add 6 tbsp of butter,  milk, salt, and nutmeg, and continue mashing until smooth and creamy.

5. Butter 9 by 13 inch rectangular baking pan and sprinkle the bottom with 2 tbsp of bread crumbs.

6. Spread half of the potatoes onto the bottom of the pan. Cover with the stuffing in an even layer. Add the remaining potatoes on top (see video for layering).

7. In a medium bowl, place the bread crumbs and pour in 1/4 cup melted butter, then mix well to combine. Add the bread crumbs to the second potato layer and spread it evenly on top using your hand.

8. Bake uncovered in 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) preheated oven on the center rack for 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes, then cut into squares and serve with your choice of salad.
