70mai A800S Dash Cam Battery Replacement (Not A Nice Job)

Previously, I changed the Li-Ion battery in my 70mai Pro Dash Cam. It was quite easy. The 70mai A800S in my wife's car now needs replacing and I was expecting the replacement procedure to be similar. It wasn't. The A800S wasn't designed to be taken apart, which is a big oversight because eventually all Li-Ion batteries will need to be replaced.

It can be done, but because of the way the camera was designed, opening it up to change the battery will result in quite a lot of damage to the camera's plastic case.

Initially, replacement batteries for 70mai cameras were quite difficult to find. However, many online stores now have stock.
