Also, during the making of this video I discovered one of the free tools I recommend mel script is bad and show how to fix it. The mel script that removes that excess bones from each vertice. Pruning them down to 4 bones/joints.


The mel script for finding the vertices that have more than 4 bones influencing them is no longer available because the website is gone. You will have to pause the video and type it in manually. Or you can just run the one that removes influences twice. That will work 99.99% of the time.


Removes influences so only maximum of 4 bones per vertex.
