Try this drill at home to improve your technique for the roundhouse kick! Great for our Muay Thai, Taekwondo and Gym Ninja students 😉

Step 1: Elevate the kicking leg to desired height. Start low and work your way up as you improve.

Step 2: Rotate hip over, along with the rest of your body as if you are kicking! (Check your body for proper technique throughout the movement! Lift and pivot on your base leg, guard yourself and move your arms appropriately, etc.)

Step 3: Add a hop with the base leg and a bit more speed (only after the technique and form is comfortable!) to get a little extra conditioning.
