Here i demonstrate the difference between an unrestored HMV no 4 soundbox and one which has been rebuilt - I find the modern rubber replacement rubber jampot rings are far too stiff and usually rebuilt my no 4 soundboxes (the ones i use ) with white gasket material and you can hear the difference when it's done - reduction of Needle scratch, much improved Bass and far more music from the record !
