Hoagland, IN Sentry 3V8-H Noon Blast and Alert - 8/7/24

When I was at SirenCon someone informed that the Hoagland Model 5 had taken a topple in a wind storm and that they (being a sentry dealer) had installed a replacement. After doing some research it sounded like the township and town wasn't going to replace it, but after some backlash from the residents in town about missing the tradition of the daily siren blast and not having a warning siren for warnings, the township went ahead and purchased this Sentry. I did film the Model 5 that was here back in 2018. This new Sentry is located behind the Hoagland fire department at the community park. It sounds everyday at noon and 6pm as well as being tied into the Allen county early warning siren system. Sirens in Allen County are tested first Wednesday of the month at Noon if Homeland Security decides the weather is nice enough to test.
