XVIR GREWAL Presents - "HOMONYM"

"HOMONYM" are words having the same spelling or pronunciation but different meanings and origins for example Two, To and Too. In this song, the artist has taken the liberty to use the Urdu word “Ameen”. Placed it with its identical pronunciations from English “I mean” & “I’m mean”. Utilising the concept of Homonym.

CONCEPT-
The idea for this song was constructed when the artist heard the word "Amen" ✞ a holy word used as affirmation from the Lord. The question progressed is "Amen" similar to "Ameen" and YES! They are but in two different religious concepts. To add an experimental value, the song starts with a light-hearted aspect by using the word Ameen (holy/pious word) and slowly progressing the song towards his mischievous dark intentions.

The intent is to highlight the irony of good and bad being two sides of the same coin by using the Upside-down Cross 𐕣 in poster work and in visuals (Symbol for Unholy/Demon) which becomes mockery for God just by flipping it upside down. Lyricist by the play of words is trying to depict his dark side and demons within.

Sound/Mix & Master were composed and treated in a way that adds to all the gothic-ness along with crude lyrics. The echoes used in the hooks (Ameen, I mean, I'm mean) are reminiscent of the voices we hear in our heads aka awareness while performing Sin.
