You may have heard those words: We live in a simulation. But, is it true? What are the chances? Is there any proof. The simulation theory states that our existence is not real, but simulated by a computer. In this video, I talk about 3 scenarios: simulation can't be made, we live in it, and we may create it in the future.
Popularity of this theory peaked in 2018, when Elon Musk talked about it in the Joe Rogan podcast. The most comprehensive papers about simulation are published by Nick Bostrom. He talked about all possibility of simulation being real and many other philosophical factors regarding this topic.
Based on his works, I presented a few questions and reasons for simulation to not be created. The possibility of already living in it is also explored.
The most compelling scenario is that we will make it in the future. Developments in AI, quantum computing, fusion energy and even videogames can bring us closer to its creation.
