The Sinking of the SS Henry Steinbrenner (1953)

Описание к видео The Sinking of the SS Henry Steinbrenner (1953)

On of May 10, 1953, the 52-year old Lake Freighter, Henry Steinbrenner departed Superior, Wisconsin with a load of nearly 7,000 tons of Iron ore, bound for Cleveland. The Weather forecast predicted that a minor storm would pass over the Great Lakes, but it was nothing to be concerned about. However, later that day, the storm intensified, with heavy winds and waves. What had been originally forecasted as a routine had turned into a nightmare for ships on the lakes. However, unbeknownst to the crew of the Henry Steinbrenner, the very next day, their ship would be at the bottom of Lake Superior.
