Ready for Round 2? Come fly with me to Australia for F3!

It's time for the second round of the FIA F3 championship in Melbourne, Australia.
Come join me on my travel there, some sightseeing and my first track walk around Albert Park. What an insane track!
We flew from Munich via Dubai to Melbourne and it was such a long travel! On Friday night at 6pm we left home and arrived in our hotel Sunday morning 8am. It kind of is on the other side of the world haha. Flying First Class with Emirates A380 planes obviously is super nice. You got your own suite on the plane, the food is amazing, and there are even two showers which you can book to use during the travel.
On Wednesday I had to be on track for the first time which meant we had some days to enjoy Australia. It was actually the first time for me there so we planned some sight seeing for Sunday and Monday.
On the first day we mainly checked out Melbourne and visited some parks and churches as you can see in the video. On Monday I researched some villages / spots along the coast so we spent 8,5h in the car driving. It was raining the whole day but still we saw so many nice places. The nature is just insane!
A nearly 1h drive from our hotel was the first stop: Torquay Beach. That beach and village is popular for surfing. Already when you drive into the village, you see surf boards, surf shops and so on everywhere. It was sooooo cool! I would say that 80 % of all this houses there had a surf board outside of the house or even on it, haha. At the beach itself were so many surfers, even though the weather was bad. The beach was super long, the waves were coming in and you just saw people everywhere.
We continued driving and ended up on the so called Great Ocean Road which is a road along the coast for 243km. It starts in Torquay and ends in Allansford and is one of most popular Scenic Routes in Australia. There was so beautiful beaches, cliffs and villages. While driving along the road you actually drive through many national parks and here and there are road signs for kangaroos and koala bears haha.
While driving along the coast we also stopped at apparently most pictured house of Australia, we drove through the rain forest and ended up at the famous 12 Apostel. Cause it was raining so much we actually just saw two of them. The bad weather also had something positive cause like this there was not so much traffic and the places were not crowded at all.
On Tuesday I went to see kangaroos. How cute are they please?! Yes, for every Australian it probably is super normal to see them but for me it was something special. Just seeing them hopping around was cool. I also went for a run at the beach and trained in the hotel gym before driving to the track for the first time on Wednesday. The cool and special thing about the racing track in Melbourne is that it literally is a park. Our road car parking was on a golf course and to be able to get to our paddock we actually had to walk over a lake. The track is 5.279m long and super quick. It is a proper street circuit and nice for fans to watch. I also got my new Alpine Academy racing gear finally which I was using that weekend. My new helmet and my Alpine Academy car livery will be ready for the next round in Imola, Italy mid May.

Have fun watching!
