New Release - Green Goatskin - NIV Personal Size - Premier Collection

The NIV Personal Size, Large Print Bible in green goatskin is Zondervan’s latest release in their Premier Collection and they swung for the fences. Not only did they go for a new color, but they went for broke on the decor. While I’m on the fence with the front cover initially, I absolutely love everything else about it. The extra gold foil work on the spine is perfection. The printed artwork in the gilded page edges is absolutely stunning. It is accented with navy, gold, and green quality ribbons that really make it pop.

Of course this one got all the Premier Collection treatment with edge lining, black leather liner with perimeter gilding, overcast stitching (only in front), 36gsm paper, and green accents (a darker green and hard to see on camera). It also has a very generous yapp (however I wouldn’t train it because it would throw the design on the front over off). It’s simply innovative and bold. I’m here for it!

What really makes this stand out is the layout and footprint size. Accounting for the yapp the cover is a shade under 9.5 x 6 inches, but the text block is 8.5 tall and just under 6 inches wide. It’s a true personal size. With that said it has a whopping 11.5 font in the NIV ComfortPrint and it is a BLACK LETTER text, including the words of Christ. So if you’re not a fan of the recent blue letter trend with the NIV this one is a winner for you. Click the links below if you want to check it out for yourself.
