1. SOUNDBITE (English) Roger Allam and Ian McKellen, actors - on Allam's karaoke skills, as his character Frank does karaoke in "Frank and Percy":
Allam: "Well as you've seen, incredibly vastly proficient. Moving."
(Reporter: "Very good drunk acting.")
McKellen: "Enthusiastic."
Allam: "Yeah, well I've researched that. You know, I'm a serious actor."
(Reporter: "I loved your dancing scene as well - absolutely brought the house down.")
Allam: "I researched dancing badly as well. You know, that's what we do."
(Reporter: "Ian, what's your karaoke song of choice?")
McKellen: "Oh, my own personal one? (sings) 'Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye... here I go on my way.' Because, yes, I've never done karaoke because I like to rehearse and get it right and then do it. And I dare say there are karaoke enthusiasts who do just that, but on the whole it's people getting up when they're a bit drunk thinking, 'Oh, I'll have a go.' No, I'd rather sit back and watch them do it."
