This is in tribute to Johnny Briggs as it has been announced today (28 February 2021) he has passed away at the age of 85. RIP Johnny. Mike Baldwin was such an iconic character.

To commemorate Coronation Street's 30th anniversary In 1990, ten VHS tapes were released. Each video featured four episodes from a specific year and was introduced by a character who was heavily featured in the stories of that year.

The 1983 video was introduced by Johnny Briggs.
